Prayer Concerns:

Whether it’s the first or 50th Christmas a loved one is missing around the table, it’s still hard. We pray for those missing a loved one this Christmas.

We pray for Mark Ackerman, Jurene Dralle, Ron Negan, and Dorothy Nelsen as they deal with health issues.

Please continue to pray for the Wix Family, as they mourn Bill’s passing and the Marks Family as they grieve the passing of Randy, Roger’s brother.

Pray for Ron Henning, he will be having carotid artery surgery on Monday.

Pray for Greta Cordes. She fell in Florida and suffered a broken neck. She has gotten permission to fly back to Iowa soon, but has a lengthy recovery ahead of her.

Please pray for Annabelle Dohlman. She has been hospitalized the past few days.

Please pray for our shut-ins and those in area care facilities – try to send them a card or stop in for a visit. Kathy Ackerman and Mary Aswegan at Elm Springs in Allison, Frances Fank, Joyce Meyer, and Louise Miller at the Allison Rehab Center, Patricia Neal at the Shell Rock Care Center and Jurene, Dralle, Vada Shreve, and Deloris Maifeld at home.

Announcements:

The following individuals were elected as officers of Trinity Reformed Church at the Dec. 14 congregational meeting. Gary Abbas and Steve Heeren were elected as Elders. Sam Cordes was elected as a deacon. If there are any legitimate objections to any of these individuals, such objections must be signed and presented to the board of elders in writing for their judgment.

Pastor Russell and his family have been a blessing to us. If you would like to bless Pastor Russell and his family this Christmas, there is a donation box on the heater in the foyer.

The photo challenge for December is pictures of Christmas trees and nativity scenes. You can send your picture to Jamie’s personal FaceBook page or text them to her phone 515- 460- 3648. We would love it if you shared them with us!

TRC will be collecting food for the Allison Food Pantry while having a friendly competition!   It will be called: FEEDING FRIENDS: YOUTH vs. ADULTS.  The competition is to see who can build the bigger present sculpture with non-perishable food items!  The contest ends the today!   You can drop your items near the side you are a part of. The winner will be determined by the number of items! (not the size of the sculpture).  The real winner though will be the Allison Food Pantry!  Thank you for your support in helping others.

We don’t want anyone to be alone on Christmas Day. Wendy will once again be serving a free will donation meal on Christmas Day from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. here at church. All donations will go towards next year’s meal. Join us for shredded pork sandwiches and au gratin potatoes.
