Announcements:

The congregational meeting will be held this morning 7 at 10:00 a.m.  The name of consenting nominees for Elder are Gary Abbas and Steve Heeren, for Deacon is Sam Cordes. Pizza will be served after the meeting.

Memorial poinsettias will be available again this year. If you would like to order, please sign up on the bulletin board, fill out an envelope and place your payment inside. Make checks to Allison Variety Store. The poinsettias will be $12 this year. Deadline to order is December 14.

Pastor Russell and his family have been a blessing to us. If you would like to bless Pastor Russell and his family this Christmas, there is a donation box on the heater in the foyer.

You can help Little Lambs this holiday season! Just scan the QR code or type in the link on the insert in your bulletin and it will take you right to the Amazon Wishlist! If you are part of the church’s email group, you should have gotten an email with a link to click also. You also can make a monetary donation, and they will purchase a needed item. It’s very easy and everything will be shipped right to Little Lambs!

Christmas sacks will be handed out this year after the Kids Christmas program. There is a box on the heater in the foyer for donations of candy. If you would like to leave a monetary donation, we will go shopping for you!  Please have all donations returned to church by Wednesday, December 17th so the sacks can be filled. Thanks!

The photo challenge for December is pictures of Christmas trees and nativity scenes. You can send your picture to Jamie’s personal FaceBook page or text them to her phone 515- 460- 3648. We know you have beautiful trees and a special nativity you put up every year. We would love it if you shared them with us!

TRC will be collecting food for the Allison Food Pantry while having a friendly competition!

It will be called: FEEDING FRIENDS: YOUTH vs. ADULTS.

The competition is to see who can build the bigger present sculpture with non-perishable food items!  The construction will be created in the narthex. The contest starts today and will end the day of the Children's Christmas program on December 21st!   You can drop your items near the side you are a part of. The winner will be determined by the number of items! (not the size of the sculpture).  The real winner though will be the Allison Food Pantry!  Thank you for your support in helping others.

We don’t want anyone to be alone on Christmas Day. Wendy will once again be serving a free will donation meal on Christmas Day from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. here at church. All donations will go towards next year’s meal. Join us for shredded pork sandwiches and au gratin potatoes.
