Prayer Concerns:
Pray for all the students, teachers, administrators and staff that will head back to school this week. We pray God will bless their year with learning, friendship, growth, laughter, and wonderful memories!
We say a prayer of thankfulness that the mission team has returned home safe from the Dominican Republic! We thank them for stepping out to do God’s work and spreading His message and love.
Please pray for our shut-ins and those in area care facilities – try to send them a card or stop in for a visit. Kathy Ackerman and Mary Aswegan at Elm Springs in Allison, Frances Fank, Joyce Meyer, and Louise Miller at the Allison Rehab Center, Jurene Dralle, Vada Shreve and Deloris Maifeld at home.
Announcements:
Little Lambs is doing their annual Back to School Supply Drive from August 3 to August 31st. The supplies donated will be taken to local elementary schools. If you would like to donate, please check out the bulletin board for the supplies needed.
Mark Your Calendar: High School Youth Group (grades 9-12) and a Middle School Girls group will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 7:00 PM, GEMS/Cadets will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 6:00 PM. The first day of Sunday School will be Sept. 13th. We are excited for a new year of learning and fun! Invite some friends and join us! Watch upcoming bulletins for more information!
SAVE THE DATE:
We are inviting everyone from our church family to join our high school youth group and help with our annual ditch clean-up on Sunday, September 13th, at 1:00 p.m. Our church is responsible for cleaning the stretch of road from Highway 14 at Casey’s to 24205 Highway 3, and we would love to have as many volunteers as possible join us! Many hands make light work!
After we finish, we will gather at Wilder Park for lunch and fellowship provided by the youth group. If you plan to help, please let Kristol know at 319-239-1374 so we can plan accordingly. Bring your family, invite a friend, and help us serve our community together! We hope to see you there!
